The Family Crisis Center, Inc. began in April of 1981 when a group of women saw a need and began answering a crisis line to help others who had no where else to turn.

In August of that same year, a shelter home was opened to provide a safe, supportive place to stay. Today those same services along with many other services are offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
